I have had a ventless fireplace for 10 years and have been using this product for the same amount of time. I usually place 2 cans behind the ceramic log. It really puts out heat (sufficient for an Arizona winter anyway) and crackles and pops. It is a great alternative to a woodburning fireplace. Don't get me wrong, they are in no way the same, but if you are looking for a beautiful fire for ambiance and a little warmth, this will do the trick.

I have used this gel fuel and it is really a great alternative to a real fire place fire. It burns for 2-3 hours and makes no smoke at all. There is a little bit of an odor, (not bad) but your nose adjusts to it quickly and you don't smell it after a little while.
It can warm a room 6 degrees in an hour, so it does help keep you warm. The crackling sound the gel emits makes it seem more realistic and it is a nice soothing sound. The only drawback is the fact that you have to use two to three cans at a time and that can be very expensive. I use two and it does a good job, but, three would be great.

This is a great product. I've used it now for almost two years. It gives off a nice amount of heat, even though it states it's not meant to be used as a heat source. It also crackles like a real fire in a real fireplace. Very pleased with this product and do recommend purchasing it.

Bought this for a friend as a birthday gift. He's 6'9" and his feet were dangling in this chair! He was so giddy and happy sitting on it. He did say he felt like the edge of the seat dug into his thighs a bit. He might need some kind of ottoman for it. Overall, I think he was one happy camper.

The chair was delivered in timely manner for a Christmas gift for my husband. Was really surprised at the height of the box! But this chair is the perfect surprise for my very large husband. Originally saw these types of chairs at our local Sams Wholesale and missed the opportunity to get the chair at that time. Ever since, I have heard nothing but how I wish we would have gotten the chair....it was AWESOME. He had the chance to sit in it at Sams and thats the first time I have ever seen a chair gulp someone up his size...it was great! Now he will have his very own on Christmas!

This solar lamp post light will light up your walkway or driveway while adding elegance to your home front. Easily mounted on any 3 inch post (available at any hardware store). The post for my gas lamp rusted out and I wanted to "go Green" and save some money on my gas bill with a solar powered model. I looked at other models online and was about to get the GamaSonic GS-94F for about $129. I noticed this model on Amazon for $119. I was able to pick one up that looks identical to this one at Menards for about $69! I got an 80" aluminum post ($29... on clearance for $2 at Lowes) and after some grunt work to remove the old cement embedded post, had the new post installed in fresh cement and plumb. The next morning I installed the lamp. (Be sure to turn it on!) It provides about as much light as my two mantel gas lantern, so I am very happy so far. Has 3 AA rechargeable batteries included (has space for 6?) Not sure about the bracket on the Amazon model, there was no such bracket in my box. I purchased this item in the hope of not having to have my yard dug up to replace a broken electrical line that has been there since the house was built over 60 years ago. Plus, I wanted to go green with energy use. I wanted a lamp that had enough brightness and would provide sufficient security on a darkly lit street. The brightness is suboptimal at best and only lasts 4-5 hours. The on/off switch is INSIDE. So, you have to take the unit apart to get to the switch. This is a very inconvenient feature. I am highly considering getting the electrician to install the electrical line.

Overall this is a good product. I used it to replace an electric post light that did not work due to underground wiring issues. It gives off adequate light, just don't expect it to light up the entire front yard. If you get a full day of sunlight, the light will stay lit all night, even in the winter. On cloudy days, you will only get 3 to 4 hours of light. Thanks to the other reviewer who noted that these were available at Menards, I ending up buying from there for $70. The only improvement I recommend is better fastners to mount the light to the post - the 3 tiny set screws included are pathetic. I drilled holes in the post and secured it with sheetmetal screws.
